Bullet Baba Temple:

( Motorcycle Baba)-Mysterious temples in India

Bullet Baba temple

The mystery behind the Bullet Baba is one of the fascinating mysteries about these sacred places in India. It often tells stories of how Indians worship different things like trees, monkeys, stones, cows which is why them worshipping a motorcycle comes as a mystery, a motorcycle really!!

The Bullet Baba temple (Mysterious temples in India) came into existence following Om Singh Rathore’s motorcycle accident at the same place where the temple stands, talk about creating a religious hotspot at your dying seconds. The police took the body and the motorcycle away from the accident scene and kept the bike at the police station.

The next day the bike mysteriously found its way back to the accident scene. To ensure that it never happens again, the police took the bike, emptied its gas tank and chained it up but somehow the bike continued to find its way back to the accident scene.

The bike had to be set there permanently because no matter what method they used to remove it from the spot it still found its way back.

This led to the rise of the Bullet Baba temple because the motorcycle in question was a Royal Enfield Bullet.

A concrete dias was put in place and a glass enclosure for the motorcycle. Each day hundreds of passersby pay homage to the motorcycle god who is believed to offer distressed travelers protection. These passersby leave liquor and flowers to solicit the deity’s blessing.  The temple has its own priest who conducts rituals and makes sure that the place remains in good shape.

The tree which Rathore crashed still stands and has become part of the shrine. Who would have thought because of that fateful accident a temple would come into existence, guess accidents happen for a reason?
